Regrettably we aren’t going to be able run a 2020 Hunter Valley Arms Fair this September.
We’d put quite a bit of time into preparing advertising and being ready to kick off in mid-July including preparing NSW Gov’t mandated Covid-10 Safe Plans and acquiring the necessary Covid-19 signage, hand sanitizer and contact tracing system etc. etc….
We were ready for ‘off’…….
Unfortunately Covid-19 has conspired to thwart our planning.
It is unclear as of today’s date whether we could legally run a fair or not.
As I write the factors which have influenced our decision are:-

Admission: Adults ~ $12, Family 2 adults + children under 16 ~ $20
Children under 16: free if accompanied by an adult.

21st (2019) Hunter Valley Arms & Militaria Fair
had a strong contingent of exhibitors.
Over 65 exhibitors/clubs were represented at this Arms Fair.
Antique Arms Collectors Society gave advice on age and restoration of older weapons.
Newcastle District Hunting Club attended to conduct R-Licence accreditation testing at the fair.

Australia's only specialist arms, militaria and sporting firearm auction house,
displayed a selection of fine items that were offered at their sale on 2018 A51 Auction.
Catalogues could be purchased at the fair.
The 2019 Hunter Valley Arms Fair sent invitations to exhibit in July and the attending dealers will be listed in the order the bookings are received.

Good food and coffee are available at the venue canteen.
Come along, bring your mates, see what's new and enjoy the company of like-minded enthusiasts.

Conditions at entry apply.
Security guards and electronic surveillance will be on-site 24/7 for the entire duration of the fair. Bag inspections and electronic scanners will be in use at the entry/exit. All purchases must be receipted.
Only firearms that are legal under current NSW Firearm Laws are allowed at the fair.
No C or D category firearms will be displayed or for sale.

The 2020 Hunter Valley Arms Fair is cancelled.
The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the cancellation of the
2020 Hunter Valley Arms Fair.
The health & well being of our patrons,dealers and staff must be our prime consideration.

AUSTRALIAN ARMS AUCTIONS Pty Ltd
Australian Arms Auctions will be attending the Hunter Valley Arms Fair
and may have catalogues available for their Auction #A53 which will be
held in Melbourne on 12th &13th October, 2019.
As Australia's only specialist arms auction house, they will be bringing
about 10 items from their next Auction #A53 for viewing.
The On-line catalogue will be available soon.
